ENGINEER ICT – SAS (Management Consulting / Site Supervision)

Role Summary
As a ICT – SAS Engineer, you will support the project during the design review, approval, and construction supervision phases for ICT and SAS (Special Airport Systems), ensuring compliance with UAE codes, IATA/ICAO aviation standards, and cybersecurity frameworks.
The Engineer is responsible for reviewing completed ICT/SAS designs, validating their technical integrity, and ensuring that construction works are executed in line with the approved design intent.
Line & Staff Relations
The Engineer ICT–SAS reports to the Resident Engineer / Senior ICT–SAS Engineer (Consulting/Site Supervision) and collaborates with:
Internal:
• ICT/SAS teams, Architects, Engineers, and BIM resources.
• Site supervision team and inspectors.
External:
• Clients, consultants, contractors, and 3rd party reviewers.
• Statutory authorities (TRA, Cyber Security Council, GCAA, etc.) through supervision team.
Key Responsibilities
Design Review & Approval
Review completed ICT/SAS design documents, drawings, and system layouts (CCTV, Access Control, BHS IT, Network Systems, SCADA, etc.).
Ensure compliance with ICAO Doc 8973, Annex 17, IATA ADRM, and UAE cyber regulations.
Assess system integration and coordination with other disciplines.
Review and approve shop drawings, material submittals, and method statements.
Construction Supervision
Supervise ICT/SAS site works, installations, and inspections.
Ensure works are executed in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, and system requirements.
Monitor contractor performance and ensure compliance with quality and safety standards.
Support testing, commissioning, and system integration activities.
Verify accuracy of as-built documentation.
Coordination & Technical Support
Coordinate ICT/SAS systems with Architecture, MEP, and Structural disciplines.
Manage RFIs, technical queries, and site instructions.
Resolve site-related technical issues and ensure proper system implementation.
Quality & Delivery
Support QA/QC reviews of ICT and SAS deliverables.
Ensure timely delivery of works in line with project schedule and contract requirements.
Assist in change control and variation management processes.
Digital & BIM Support
Support BIM-based coordination and ICT/SAS model reviews.
Ensure alignment of models with site conditions and as-built documentation.
Profile Specifications – Minimum Requirements
Experience
5–10 years of experience including site supervision and management consulting experience (mandatory).
Minimum 5 years experience in the Middle East (mandatory).
Experience on large-scale infrastructure projects in the Middle East (mandatory).
Airport project experience is an advantage (not mandatory).
Education
Bachelor’s in Electrical / Electronics / Communications Engineering or equivalent.
Knowledge
ICAO 8973, Annex 17 (Security), IATA ADRM ICT standards.
UAE ICT and cybersecurity regulations (TRA, Cyber Security Council, NESA standards).
ICT/SAS systems integration and construction practices.
Software Skills (2025 Updated)
AutoCAD, Revit (BIM), Navisworks.
ICT network design and coordination tools.
Collaboration platforms (BIM 360, Asite, Primavera Cloud).
Soft Skills
Strong communication and coordination skills.
Technical reporting and problem-solving ability.
Ability to work in a site-based, multidisciplinary environment.
