Role Summary

As a Senior / Junior Planning Engineer, you will be responsible for project planning, scheduling, progress monitoring, and project controls for large-scale building, infrastructure, and construction projects.

The role requires strong Primavera P6 expertise, programme management, progress tracking, reporting, and coordination with project stakeholders.

Line & Staff Relations

This role reports to the Project Manager / Planning Manager and coordinates with:

• Project managers and construction teams
• Site engineers, consultants, contractors, and subcontractors
• Commercial, QA/QC, HSE, and other project teams

Key Responsibilities

Planning & Progress Monitoring

• Develop, maintain, and update project schedules using Primavera P6.
• Prepare baseline, recovery, revised, and detailed programmes.
• Monitor planned vs. actual progress and identify delays and schedule risks.
• Prepare S-curves, manpower histograms, progress reports, and dashboards.
• Support resource planning, resource loading, cost loading, and productivity monitoring.
• Review BOQs, quantities, resources, and work progress.

Schedule Control & Coordination

• Monitor project milestones, critical activities, and key deliverables.
• Support corrective and recovery measures for project delays.
• Assist with delay analysis, schedule impact assessments, and EOT documentation.
• Coordinate with project managers, site teams, consultants, contractors, and subcontractors.
• Maintain accurate planning records and project controls documentation.

Profile Specifications – Minimum Requirements

Senior Planning Engineer

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related discipline.
• Minimum 8+ years of planning experience.
• Primavera P6 – Mandatory.
• Strong experience in programme development, progress monitoring, resource planning, and project controls.
• Experience in delay analysis and EOT documentation.
• Large-scale building, infrastructure, or construction experience preferred.

Junior Planning Engineer

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related discipline.
• Minimum 3+ years of planning experience.
• Primavera P6 – Mandatory.
• Knowledge of scheduling, progress monitoring, BOQ, resource planning, and project reporting.
• Large-scale building, infrastructure, or construction experience preferred.

Knowledge

• Primavera P6 and construction planning.
• Project scheduling and progress monitoring.
• Baseline, recovery, and revised programmes.
• S-curves, manpower histograms, and productivity monitoring.
• BOQ, resource loading, cost loading, and project controls.
• Delay analysis and EOT principles.
